Stressful (conflict) situations and increased blood pressure

Stressful and conflict situations activate the autonomous nervous system, which through vasomotor centres, causes serious cardiovascular complications.
Hypothalamus, as the emotion centre, can initiate the blood pressure increase, based on a number of received information (impulses) through the sympathycus, due to anger, fury, fear, restlessness (i.e. emotions a modern man falls asleep and wakes up with). Over a longer period of time, it will cause chronic hypertension.

Heart rhythm and contraction

Blood pressure rising

Renin + SRAA = Blood pressure rising

Acute stress, due to increased secretion of adrenalin, causes “alert” in organism: heart activity is increased and often becomes irregular, contractions of heart chambers are intensified and fast. The result is increased blood pressure.

Chronic stress increases the secretion of Noradrenalin, which increases the peripheral resistance and the secretion of rennin, angiotensin and aldosterone is also increased, resulting in intensive blood pressure increase.

(SRAA-Sistem Renin Angiotenzin Aldosteron)

However, certain states of anxiety (restlessness, fear, insecurity), as well as emotional stress, may cause an acute infarct, and a sudden death.

Ischemia of myocardium and occurrence of arrhythmia

Myocardial infarct

(Sudden death)

F.F.A.=Free fatty acid

Anxiety (restlessness, fear), through the sympathycus, increases the secretion of adrenalin, mobilizes F.F.A, and the cholesterol and triglyceride level becomes increased, which initiates and accelerates the process of atherosclerosis. The process of ischemia is also aggravated and accelerated. Malignant heart arrhythmia occurs. It often results in a sudden death.

Emotional stress (restlessness, fear), a modern man falls asleep and wakes up with, causes an increased secretion of noradrenalin, which increases peripheral resistance and aggravates, increases ischemia, especially of the heart muscle. Myocardial infarct is a frequent result.
